Rocket has recovered from his surgery now and had his 1st of 4 chemo treatments. Other than being a little tired and less appetite he did well with the chemo. We are hoping he will win his battle with this terrible disease.

We confirmed Rocket had Osteosarcoma on Friday September 19th when the results of a needle biopsy came in. A bone biopsy had been performed on 9/9/14 by our Vet due to a lump on his left front leg and x-rays showing bone irregularities on the small bone in that leg. The result was inconclusive on 9/12 and rather than have our vet try again we scheduled an appointment with an oncologist.
Rocket had surgery to amputate the limb on 9/23 and will start chemo in about 2 weeks after he heals from the surgery.
